A series of paintings by Ariane & Chris
Hérô is a collaboration between two hands and two disciplines — Ariane is a medical doctor, Chris a professor. Beyond that, the painters prefer to stay behind the work. The series folds Buddhist thought — samsara, emptiness, the net of Indra — and the science of visual perception into gestural abstraction, until seeing itself becomes the subject.
